Apprenticeship as "Industriekauffrau" at Develey Mustard & Fine Foods, Unterhaching
1990-92
After completing my education at the Riemerschmid Business School in Munich, I pursued an apprenticeship as Industriekauffrau (it translates like this: "Industrial Management Clerk" but not sure this is the right discription. A Industriekaufmann/frau can work in any company which produces something. During the apprenticeship I worked in the following departments: sales, purchasing department, lab, warehouse, production, reception ...)
Assistant to the Sales Manager, Develey Senf und Feinkost, Unterhaching - München
1992-1995
After completing my two-year apprenticeship, I was transferred to the sales department..
Assistant to the Sales Manager, TEMIC Telefunken, microelectronic, Ottobrunn
1995-1997
Until the dissolution of the company, I held the position of Sales Manager's Secretary. During this period, I became pregnant with our first daughter and chose not to take on a new position.
Volunteer Work as a Nursing Assistant and Leader of the Fall Prevention Group
at the Senior Care Facility in Kaufering
2005-2008
When my children were 6 and 8 years old, I made the decision to embark on a new career path. I commenced training as a nursing assistant at a senior care facility. This choice allowed me to enter the field of caregiving while also having ample time for my children. (Between 1999 and 2008, my husband worked in Cologne, while I was alone with our daughters in Bavaria during the week.)
Upon completing my training, I initially became involved in volunteer work. During that time, the AOK (a health insurance company) introduced a program aimed at reducing falls in nursing homes. The management of the senior care facility approached me and asked if I would be interested in receiving training from the AOK and subsequently organizing and leading a 'Fall Prevention Group.'
The training sessions, involving 8-10 seniors, 1-2 times a week, were highly successful. Not only did the residents become fitter and have fun, but I also witnessed the positive impact that prevention and regular physical activity can have even in later stages of life. This piqued my curiosity and deepened my interest in prevention. I embarked on a one-year program, primarily through distance learning, to become a 'Präventologin' (Prevention Specialist) in Hannover, and I wrote my thesis on the subject of 'Fall Prevention.
Move to Australia, Melbourne
12/2008
an exciting journey begins...
Co-initiator of a Visitation Program for Elderly Germans in Melbourne
2009/10
I got to know the then-chairperson of the Australian German Welfare Society Inc. in Melbourne. She facilitated the opportunity for me to complete my remote studies in Präventologie within her organization.
During our conversations, the topic of elderly migrants came up. One issue that emerged was that many elderly dementia patients reverted to their native language, which posed a significant challenge for their caregivers, who often did not speak the language themselves.
This discussion led to the idea of establishing a 'Friendly Visiting Service.' Together with a friend, we developed the concept and laid the foundation for launching the service.
Independent Thermomix Sales Representative, Melbourne
2009-2013
Through hosting over 150 Thermomix parties, I had the opportunity to quickly meet numerous new people, enhance my language skills, step out of my comfort zone, acquire sales techniques, cook with my beloved Thermomix, all while earning income – and to top it off, it brought me immense joy!
I am excited to bring these home party experiences into my own idea of "Mysterbox Home Cooking Parties with a green touch".
Online Magazine - THERMIE LIVING
2013-2017
Through my role as a Thermomix consultant, it became evident to me that many people are unsure how to cook healthily, deliciously, and effortlessly. I had the desire to create a platform that not only offers recipes but also provides lifestyle tips and inspiration for Thermomix enthusiasts.
With the magazine, which was the first online magazine for Thermomix at the time, I was able to establish numerous connections with renowned chefs, cookbook authors, health influencers, speakers, and other personalities. More than 50 issues of 'Thermie Living' were published on the Apple Newsstand (and Google).
Host of 4 Online Conferences
2014-2018
Together with my husband, we learned from American experts how to organize an online summit from start to finish. Our first venture was the 'Thermomix Lifestyle Summit,' where Michael primarily handled the technical aspects, while I took care of the other tasks.
Through this journey, I gained extensive knowledge about marketing, creating landing pages, recruiting experts, conducting interviews, filming discussions, generating engaging content, and much more.
This was followed by the 'Healthy Weight Summit' in collaboration with Lee Holmes, the 'Supercharge Your Gut Summit,' and eventually, the 'Dog Lover Summit.' In total, we conducted over 60 interviews, produced hundreds of hours of video content, and sent out numerous newsletters.
CANTIENICA® Online - Community Manager
2017-2024
In 2017, I was introduced to Benita Cantieni from Switzerland, the creator of the renowned CANTIENICA® method, a holistic body training approach. Together, we developed an online program to introduce this method to the English-speaking audience. Some of my previous clients from the magazine and summit were fortunate to be among the first to benefit from our 6-week course.
Soon after, we started receiving inquiries from German-speaking CANTIENICA® enthusiasts, leading to the translation of the course into German. I serve now as a point of contact and occasionally as a motivator for all participants.

Move back to Germany
2018-2021
In 2018, my husband Michael and I made the decision to leave Australia and relocate closer to our parents. We were captivated by Berlin, particularly due to its numerous technological advancements and vegan offerings within the city.
In Berlin, I founded the 'Vintage Vegans' group, aimed at bringing together individuals over 40 who embrace a plant-based diet. I participated in various events hosted by Vegan Entrepreneurs, attended expos, and seminars by Niko Rittenau (one of the most wellknown experts in plant-based nutrition in the DACH region). This allowed me to become more acquainted with the German-speaking community in this field.
During one of these events, I met two of my future co-authors for the book 'Aus Liebe Vegan' (Vegan out of Love). This book was published in 2021 by the vegan 'GrünerSinn' publishing house. I contributed one of the eight stories in the book, focusing on the process of 'going vegan' and navigating the journey.
Simultaneously, I embarked on my journey to become a certified vegan nutrition consultant through Ecodemy.
Corona Online Nomads / Herzhaft Vegan
2020-2022
While we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Berlin, the worsening course of the COVID-19 pandemic made city life less enjoyable. As we have location-independent careers, we became online nomads. Originally planning for just a few months, we ultimately spent nearly 2 years on the road.
We were fortunate to live in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Canary Islands, Portugal, and Australia during this time. Throughout these experiences, I learned numerous valuable lessons: flexibility, embracing a minimalist lifestyle, the realization that things often unfold differently than expected, cooking with limited resources, efficient management of the fridge and pantry, creativity in repurposing leftovers, adept packing and unpacking of suitcases and cars, creating a cozy ambiance in every Airbnb, pet-sitting for dogs, cats, and house-sitting, as well as the art of maintaining a wonderful connection with family during the holiday season despite the physical distance.
During this period, I also founded 'Herzhaft Vegan,' a source of inspiration for those interested in a plant-based diet. You can learn more about it at www.herzhaftvegan.de. (This lead to Green@Heart💚 which is my focus now in Portugal.)
At the end of 2021, after 2 years, we were finally able to travel back to Australia and reunite with our younger daughter.
New start in Portugal, Lissabon
April 22
In early 2022, during our stay in Australia, we made the decision to ship all our remaining personal belongings, including old cabinets inherited from my grandmother that we had stored in a warehouse, to Portugal. There, we embarked on a fresh start.
We now feel relieved to have a permanent residence again, grateful for the diverse experiences of the past years, and eager to embrace new projects and challenges.
Animal Sanctuary 3.0
September 22 - on hold!
Together with my husband, I co-founded a Web-3 company with the mission of regularly supporting sanctuaries through a new form of donations. This is AS3's mission:
'Our mission is to financially empower sanctuaries by selling digital animals (art created from images of sanctuary animals), so they can focus on providing the best care for needy animals without financial worries.'
As an impact startup, we were represented at the Web Summit in Lisbon. Currently, the project is on hold as it would require substantial investments to truly gain enough momentum for this charitable organization.
Lebenshöfe & Friends, Community and Hof-Talks
Januar 23 - June 24
While conducting research for 'Animal Sanctuary 3.0,' I had the privilege of meeting fascinating individuals and gaining deep insights into the challenges and needs of sanctuaries (known in Germany as Lebenshöfe or Gnadenhöfe) . Aside from sufficient donations, these sanctuaries often lack effective information exchange and a robust network. To support these sanctuaries, many of which are run by former farmers, I launched the community platform 'Lebenshöfe & Friends' and created an online venue. I also host 'Hof-Talks,' where I interview sanctuary founders and experts on topics related to sanctuaries, animal care, TransFARMation, and the connections between climate change and factory farming.
