Andrea's journey into plant‒based living started in 2016 when she decided to embrace a vegan lifestyle. Prior to that, she and her family had already been moving towards a more plant‒centric diet, occasionally incorporating fish, eggs, and a bit of cheese. Before this shift, they followed the standard German lifestyle.
At the age of 43, everything changed for Andrea after watching a TedX Talk questioning why we love our dogs but eat cows. This eye‒opening moment led her to adopt a fully plant‒based diet immediately. She even transformed her online magazine into a vegan publication, a move that wasn't the best for business, but she couldn't continue supporting a food system she no longer believed in.
For Andrea, it's not just a diet; it's a commitment to a more compassionate and sustainable way of living.

💚 How long is a Mysterbox Event and what is the agenda?
Typically, Mysterybox Events last for 2,5-3 hours. Upon guests' arrival, they'll receive a welcome drink and place the ingredients they brought into our Mysterybox. Once everyone has gathered, we'll come together, discuss our intentions for the night, and enjoy some snacks (provided by Andrea). The Mysterybox will then be opened, and we'll collaboratively decide on the dishes to cook. Throughout the event, we'll cook, engage in conversation, share knowledge, eat and, most importantly, have a great time.
💚 How does the booking process for a Home Event work?
Reach out to Andrea through email, WhatsApp, or a phone call to express your interest in hosting a home party, and she will promptly get in touch with you.
💚 How long in advance do I have to book an event?
Please book as early as possible. As soon as you have a date in mind, let Andrea know. Limited spots are available for private parties, so securing your reservation well in advance is recommended
💚 What do we cook at the party?
What we'll cook is a surprise for everyone, even for Andrea. If you'd like, you can theme the party, providing a direction for the Mysterybox ingredients, such as Festive Season, Super Healthy, Italian Night, Ayurveda, etc. Andrea will also bring some pre-made items to taste, ensuring guests won't go hungry during the cooking process.
If you do not like surprises, we can also book a regular class like a vegan fish class, Italian class, hearty class etc.
💚 What does Andrea provide?
Andrea will bring some tasty snacks to get started. She'll also provide the Mysterybox and bring along some typical plant-based ingredients that the host might not have on hand (more details will be discussed with the event host). For the main dishes we will use the ingredients the guests will bring. The host can choose from delicious dessert recipes and I will provide the ingredients for it.
💚 What does the event host provide?
To simplify things for the host, Andrea will send a short list of items that would be great to have on hand (such as Olive Oil, Tomato Paste, Mustard, Plant-based milk, Flour, etc.). If something is missing, no worries, as we'll tap into our creative minds to find alternatives. The host is also responsible for the dessert ingredients and proviedes the drinks.
💚 What do the guests have to bring?
As soon as we have a headcount and know about any food preferences or allergies, Andrea will provide all the necessary information to the host. Guests are encouraged to bring something they haven't used before (such as tempeh or unique vegetables) or an ingredient they love and would like to share knowledge about. The focus is on learning something new and enjoying the mystery box collection. Contributions should not exceed 5 Euro, and Andrea will share detailed information through email.

Yes, this is a very special way celebrating with family and friends. Please send Andrea an email to discuss the options. Andrea will send you an offer tailored to your needs.
💚 Can we also book a Teambuilding Mystery Box event for our company?
Yes, it's available. Kindly reach out to Andrea for more information. Additionally, for corporate events, alternative venues in Lisbon accommodating up to 50 people are available for booking. In the case of events exceeding 18 attendees, Andrea collaborates with other plant-based chefs, ensuring you and your teams can savor a diverse range of culinary tastes and insights.
